Join the prestigious team at Cagayan State University as a University Extension Specialist V. This is a full-time opportunity to drive meaningful change in the Ilocos Region by bridging the gap between academic research and community application. As a vital member of the university's outreach department, you will lead initiatives that empower local communities, improve livelihoods, and promote sustainable development.
We are looking for a dynamic professional with a passion for extension work, research, and community engagement. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating extension programs that address the specific needs of our stakeholders, ranging from farmers and fisherfolk to local government units and private industries.
Tanggung Jawab
- Plan, implement, and monitor comprehensive extension programs and projects aligned with the university's mandate and national development goals.
- Conduct research-based extension services, including needs assessment studies and technology transfer activities.
- Organize and facilitate training workshops, seminars, and demonstration activities for target client groups.
- Establish and maintain strong linkages with local government units (LGUs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and private sector partners.
- Supervise extension staff and student volunteers, providing guidance and mentorship for outreach activities.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, project proposals, and extension bulletins for funding and accountability.
- Advocate for university programs and services to maximize community participation and impact.
Kualifikasi
- Master’s Degree in relevant fields (e.g., Agriculture, Sociology, Development Studies, Home Economics) or a Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent professional experience.
- Civil Service Commission (CSC) Eligibility (Professional or Sub-professional) with appropriate eligibility rating for the V level.
- At least five (5) years of relevant teaching and extension work experience in an academic or development setting.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, statistical analysis, and research methodology.
- Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
