Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, eye health, and refractive errors
- Prescribe corrective lenses (glasses, contact lenses) and provide vision therapy recommendations
- Diagnose and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disorders
- Perform pre/post-operative assessments for refractive surgery patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Educate patients on eye care practices, lens options, and preventive measures
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary care
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Optometry from an accredited institution
- Valid registration with the Singapore Optometry Board or equivalent licensing body
- Strong diagnostic skills with experience in slit-lamp examinations and retinal imaging
- Excellent communication abilities to explain complex eye conditions to patients
- Proficiency in using modern optometric equipment and electronic health records systems
- Commitment to continuing education and staying current with industry standards
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a healthcare team
