Join South Pole Carbon Asset Management as a Manager, Jurisdictional REDD+ (J-REDD+) - Compliance Markets, and play a pivotal role in driving sustainable climate solutions. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with governments, NGOs, and private sector partners to design, implement, and scale REDD+ projects that generate high-quality carbon credits. Tanggung Jawab
- Provide technical expertise in jurisdictional REDD+ project development and carbon asset feasibility
- Lead the design and implementation of carbon credit projects in compliance with international standards
- Collaborate with governments and local stakeholders to support forest conservation and sustainable land use
- Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for carbon asset monetization in compliance markets
- Ensure the environmental integrity and additionality of carbon projects through rigorous monitoring and verification
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the carbon market ecosystem
- Stay updated on evolving carbon market regulations and standards to ensure project compliance
Kualifikasi
- Advanced degree in environmental science, forestry, climate change, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in carbon markets, REDD+ projects, or climate finance
- Strong understanding of international carbon standards (e.g., VCS, CCBA, Gold Standard)
- Experience working with governments and local communities on environmental projects
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex environmental and economic data
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and potentially other languages
