Cohu, Inc. is seeking a skilled and innovative Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design and refinement of our specialized effects kits, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and align perfectly with evolving customer preferences and requirements. You will drive technical advancement by analyzing user feedback and implementing design improvements that enhance product performance and reliability.
As a key member of our engineering department, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and product management, to translate complex customer needs into robust, manufacturable engineering solutions. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the design and refinement of effects kits to meet specific customer requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct detailed analysis, prototyping, and testing to validate design concepts and ensure product durability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate feedback and improve existing designs continuously.
- Create precise 2D and 3D CAD models and technical documentation, including BOMs and specifications.
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are cost-effective, producible, and of high quality.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during the design and development lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest innovative design solutions.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in design engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex engineering issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is preferred.
