We are seeking a highly skilled Second Officer to join our maritime operations team. This critical role involves advanced navigation system management, including Radar/Radio Detection and Ranging (RDR) and ARPA/Automatic Radar Plotting Aids systems. You'll be responsible for maintaining situational awareness through Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS), ensuring safe vessel operations in Indonesian waters. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to international maritime regulations, and proactive decision-making capabilities. You'll collaborate closely with the bridge team to optimize voyage planning, conduct risk assessments, and implement emergency response protocols. Tanggung Jawab
- Operate and maintain radar/ARPA systems for real-time vessel tracking and collision avoidance
- Manage Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) for route planning and navigation
- Monitor Radio Detection and Ranging equipment to detect marine hazards and traffic
- Conduct regular equipment calibration and performance testing
- Collaborate with bridge team on voyage planning and route optimization
- Implement emergency response procedures for navigational incidents
- Document all navigation activities and equipment performance logs
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS and maritime safety regulations
Kualifikasi
- Certified Second Officer or equivalent maritime qualification (STCW III/2)
- Minimum 2 years experience with radar/ARPA and ECDIS systems
- Proficiency in Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems
- Strong understanding of International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs)
- Valid Indonesian Seafarer's Medical Certificate
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Experience navigating Indonesian waters preferred
